Applications are invited for the 5th IMechE GLR Symposium on Sustainable Energy & Environmental Protection. The on-line symposium will form part of the 17th International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Environmental Protection taking place between the 28th  and 31st of July 2025.

This annual symposium is important to us because of the benefits we hope it offers for participants. These include:

  1. Stimulating New Knowledge: inspire attendees to seek fresh insights and findings within their field. Exposure to diverse perspectives can spark curiosity and motivate further research.
  2. Knowledge Exchange: allow experts in a specific field to meet and discuss papers, research, and trends related to a particular topic. This exchange of information can lead to solutions and recommendations for further action.
  3. Networking: Attendees can expand their academic network by connecting with other professionals, researchers, and practitioners. It is an opportunity to build relationships and collaborate on future projects.
  4. Presentation Skills: Presenting at a symposium enhances one’s ability to communicate research effectively. It is a chance to refine presentation skills and receive constructive feedback.
  5. Comparisons and Self-Reflection: Being part of a symposium allows individuals to compare their work with others, fostering self-improvement and growth.

We hope to see a variety of specialist papers and will appreciate their context with respect to the following:
