Bio
Rytis Skominas is associated professor in Engineering Faculty and director Of Bioeconomy Research Institute at the Vytautas Magnus University. Graduated in Civil Engineering in 2003, he obtained a PhD in Durability of Repair of Hydraulic Structures in 2008. His teaching activities include the courses of Reliability of Hydraulic Structures, Engineering Structures, Construction Law. The areas of scientific research cover a wide range of topics, such as reliability and repair of reinforced concrete structures, green concrete, ecological construction materials. Author of more than 50 scientific papers, most of them with international diffusion. He is member of the Lithuanian Society of Water and Land Management Engineers, Lithuanian Standards Board Committee “Concrete and Reinforced concrete”, member of the Scientific and Organizing Committees and Session Organizer of several international conferences.
